Approximately 8 hours – Departure at 09h00
Departure from the hotel in Funchal or on the outskirts to our first stop, the village of Ribeira Brava. After the short stop, we pass through Ponta do Sol and Canhas towards Paul da Serra where we will take an off-road route, with the possibility of making a short journey on foot along a levada. At an altitude of 1400 meters and on the Paul da Serra plateau, we begin our descent through Fanal, where we stop to visit some of the endemic and centenary trees on the island. We continue to Ribeira da Janela heading towards Porto Moniz, for lunch.
Having regained our strength with our meal and the ocean, we are back to Funchal, with some surprises in between, such as the black sand beach of Seixal, and the waterfalls on the north coast of the island, also passing through the village of S. Vicente, being this is one of the last stops, as we were also able to stop to taste a delicious poncha before arriving in Funchal.
